Winter Hobbies

0 min read
It's that time of year again. The weather grows cold and damp and the nights casts it's grip upon the world before I even make the trek home from the office. Yep, winter is on it's way. Usually this is the time of year I get into my model building mode. It's odd really, because model building usually requires ample light and good ventilation (with all the sprays, chemicals, and paints), yet I always want to build things when it's too cold to open a window and too dark to make use of any extra daylight. It makes me wish I could force my "internal hobby clock" to summer, when the light stays out till 9 o'clock, and the weather is pleasant enou

Thank you so much for the fave!
hi! I read all your posts on hobby fanatics! O.O about RO figures :) The one on E2046 swordie is listed as pre-order..and I have enver worked on resin kits, let alone on Thai recasts..but I found it on ebay too! (much cheaper) people have warned me against pre-orders and idk what to do :( is why I am asking for help..if I buy thai recast and it has bent pieces how do I straighten them out? ^^; thanks!
Pre-orders can take a while to fill. This might be why they "warned" you about them. I would suggest ordering another model that you like that they have in-stock and learn on that. After you do that kit, then perhaps you can try the Thai recast kit on eBay. Or, perhaps you'll get lucky and the kit you get off eBay is in good shape. It's unlikely, but it could happen! Check out my other reply to your comment for more information.
Thank you so much for answering! :D Yeah TT_TT hehe, I am waiting for the Order to become in stock :) I will try that XD thanks! :D
Hi! Remember me?
I've finished my Yellow 13 scale model. I finished it like a month ago, totally forgot to share with you, sorry!

Anyway, you can see the pictures here, in my website: [link]
You can also view other of my models in Omake > Scale Models.

The model I built was a Italeri/Tamiya SU-27 B2, which I had to modify so the front canards looked right. I printed my own decals btw :D
Wow, VERY NICE! I regret not getting the panel lines marked on my kit, it makes the model look so much nicer.

Great Job!
Thank you!
Actually this Tamiya/Italeri model has raised panel lines, so it was a bit tricky to make them stand out. I am glad you liked it, I would like to build another one (for yellow 4) sometime next year :)
