Link Figure from Skyward Sword
I got this resin kit from e2046 a few months back. I'm really glad to see some figures from Nintendo's games start to show up as resin kits. The Legend of Zelda series has always been my favorite. I got hooked on the original NES game way back in the 80's and have been an avid fan of all the games since.

This kit was actually really well cast and only had a few minor things to fix. The kit took me a lot longer than I thought to complete, but I suspect that has more to do with my inability to budget time than anything else.

The decals that came with the kit are nice, but the white backing on the decal was miss-printed and ended up showing a bit of white, instead of the solid red. It's a minor thing and I could have had custom decals printed to use instead, but to be honest, it wasn't worth the cost or the time to do it.

Anyways, good kit, went together (more-or-less) easily and it looks pretty snazzy now that it's complete.

1/4 Scale Sailor Moon Resin Figure
I grabbed this when e2046 had a sale last year and I'm glad I did. You can't tell from the images, but this kit is BIG. It went together well and totally captures the look of Sailor Moon from the first season. It's a fantastic kit and looks great now that it is complete.

I always loved Sailor Moon and having a large Sailor Moon figure to put on my nerd shelf is awesome. It's always fun to make a kit like this. Simple color pallet, iconic character and a good pose. I couldn't be happier.

Unfortunately, the lighting conditions when I took the photo weren't ideal. It really washed out the color in her legs and in other areas. Maybe I'll take a new series of photos in the future, but these are "good enough" for now.

Ragnarok Online - Female Crusader Resin Figure
Ragnarok Online was the only MMORPG that ever grabbed my interest. I know a primary reason for that was the awesome character design and those adorable little sprites you get to watch interact on-screen. One of my favorite classes to play was the Swordsman. In fact, I was one of the first, if not THE first player to become a Crusader when the Comodo update came to iRO waaaaay back in the early 2000's. I'm not saying that made me a GOOD Crusader, or anything remarkable, but I (probably) was one of the first!

That said, I found this kit of a female crusader on e2046 and after much deliberation, I decided to pick it up. There she sat, unassembled in her shipping box for years. Lucky for her, I got the itch to put together some resin kits and ended up putting her together. There were no instructions with the kit and figuring out how her cape attached to the pauldrons was a bit tricky, but the rest wasn't so bad. The reference photo for the build looks absolutely NOTHING like the Crusaders in-game (see here: images-e2046.com/images/produc… ) and I took this opportunity to make my version of the model look much more in-line with the way the character looks in-game and in the concept art. (Link to concept art: s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/o… )

I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I think it looks a pretty similar to the actual RO character. Unfortunately, whoever made the sculpt didn't give her a shield (A Crusader without a shield? What madness is this!?), but that scythe does look pretty bad-ass.

I'm into all kinds of things, but I suppose I'm particularly interested in Video Games, Dance Dance Revolution, Model Kits, Resin Figures and War Game Miniatures.

hi! I read all your posts on hobby fanatics! O.O about RO figures :) The one on E2046 swordie is listed as pre-order..and I have enver worked on resin kits, let alone on Thai recasts..but I found it on ebay too! (much cheaper) people have warned me against pre-orders and idk what to do :( is why I am asking for help..if I buy thai recast and it has bent pieces how do I straighten them out? ^^; thanks!

Pre-orders can take a while to fill. This might be why they "warned" you about them. I would suggest ordering another model that you like that they have in-stock and learn on that. After you do that kit, then perhaps you can try the Thai recast kit on eBay. Or, perhaps you'll get lucky and the kit you get off eBay is in good shape. It's unlikely, but it could happen! Check out my other reply to your comment for more information.

Hi! Remember me?
I've finished my Yellow 13 scale model. I finished it like a month ago, totally forgot to share with you, sorry!

Anyway, you can see the pictures here, in my website: [link]
You can also view other of my models in Omake > Scale Models.

The model I built was a Italeri/Tamiya SU-27 B2, which I had to modify so the front canards looked right. I printed my own decals btw :D

Wow, VERY NICE! I regret not getting the panel lines marked on my kit, it makes the model look so much nicer.

Great Job!

Thank you!
Actually this Tamiya/Italeri model has raised panel lines, so it was a bit tricky to make them stand out. I am glad you liked it, I would like to build another one (for yellow 4) sometime next year :)

No problem. I like your work and really wish they had a guy like you designing more of the current battlemech designs.
